Misleading product sold at a premium price — please verify before you buy I visited Chanri Skin Clinic for scar treatment after hearing positive feedback about their services. Dr. Pasan was very friendly and took the time to clearly discuss and guide me through a suitable treatment plan, which I genuinely appreciated. As part of the treatment, I was prescribed a Pharmaceris night cream. However, the product issued by the clinic did not match the original Pharmaceris brand available in the market. It was sold to me for Rs. 9,800, whereas a comparable original product is priced around Rs. 6,800. They sold a product labeled as “Pharmaceris,” which is an established international brand. However, the item provided was not manufactured by that brand, making it misleading. Claims that it is made by another lab or in collaboration with a doctor do not justify using the Pharmaceris name on the product. When I attempted to verify the product, I noticed several concerning issues. There was no batch ID, the QR code on the packaging redirected to a street location in Dubai, and the mentioned manufacturing company could not be verified. These raised serious doubts about the authenticity of the product. When I questioned this, I was told that the product I was referring to and the one sold by the clinic were two different brands. When I further raised concerns about the QR code redirecting to Google Maps instead of an official website, I was informed that this can happen, and that the product has worked well for many customers—rather than being provided with proper proof of authenticity. To their credit, they eventually provided a refund after I raised these concerns. However, I still found the overall experience misleading. I am sharing this so that other clients can be mindful and take the time to verify the authenticity of products before purchasing.
