I DO NOT RECOMMEND this salon for hair coloring services based on my personal experience. I visited this salon about three weeks ago and repeatedly explained that I wanted an even dark brown color throughout my hair. I specifically told the stylist that I did not want highlights or a lighter shade. The stylist advised that my hair needed mild bleaching first because I had been covering my grey roots for over two years. She showed me that my previous color had built up on my hair and assured me that bleaching was necessary to achieve the dark brown shade I wanted. Trusting her professional advice, I agreed. Immediately after the service, the color looked acceptable under the salon lighting, although it was lighter than I had requested. However, after I returned home and saw it in natural light, I noticed that it was much lighter than I had asked for. My hair also had a mixture of dark brown, golden, and reddish tones, and some sections had not taken the color at all and remained close to their original color. More importantly, the color was uneven. Some sections were noticeably lighter than others, making it look as though I had highlights, even though I had specifically requested that I did not want highlights. While the color itself is not unattractive and suits my skin tone, it is not the result I clearly requested. I also noticed that the lighter sections of my hair became dry and frizzy after the bleaching process, leaving my hair in a much drier condition than before. Throughout the consultation, I repeatedly expressed that I did not want a lighter shade. The stylist kept telling me to trust her because she would create a “beautiful” color. However, beauty is subjective. As a customer, I expected the salon to achieve the color I specifically requested rather than choosing what they believed would look best. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet my expectations, and I cannot recommend this salon for hair coloring services.

This was a total disaster and one of the worst salon experiences we have ever had. My wife wanted a blonde hair color, and we clearly showed them a picture before starting. They confidently said they could do the exact same color and promised that the whole hair would be colored properly. In the end, the result was completely different from what they promised. The blonde color turned into a very light ash/white shade, the color was applied only in some areas instead of the full head, and her hair became badly damaged. It was obvious that they did not know how to do the job properly. We paid more than 70,000 LKR for this, which honestly feels like a complete scam. First they say they can do it perfectly, but the final result is a disaster. When I contacted the owner to ask about the work they did, he could not answer any of the questions and suddenly hung up the call after using vulgar Sinhala words. After that, they kept avoiding our calls and making excuses every time we tried to contact them again. Do not trust this salon. They are completely unprofessional and clearly do not have the skills to do proper hair coloring. Do not waste your valuable money and time at this place.

Did my hair colour cut there. It was absolutely stunning. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended ❤️ I got so many complements for my hair and everyone said it is gorgeous 😍 Thank you Salon LAARO ❤️
