I was a loyal customer of Silvester Salon, Alawwa, for years. My 7-year-old son always had his hair cut by the same barber, and I was happy to pay Rs. 1,300 for a child's haircut because I expected quality and consistency, not a cheap service. Unfortunately, before one of the most special days of my son's childhood, his "Avurudu Kumaraya" event, his haircut was completely ruined. When I got home and tried to style his hair, it was obvious how badly it had been cut. I called the salon, and they asked me to come back the next day. The barber who cut his hair wasn't there. Another barber looked at it, laughed, and simply said there was nothing they could do and that we should wait for the hair to grow back. Several staff members laughed as well. Not a single person apologized. Everyone can make mistakes. What truly disappointed me was the complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for a loyal customer. A sincere apology would have made a huge difference, but instead, we were treated as if our concern didn't matter. I have stopped visiting this salon and will not recommend it to anyone looking for quality service or customer care. Premium prices should come with premium service, and unfortunately, this salon failed on both.
