This was by far the worst salon experience I have ever had. I went in for a one-day hair straightening service and was seated between two mirrors, making it impossible for me to see what was happening to my hair. The salon was very small, yet the music was blasting at an extremely high volume right next to me. I was constantly surrounded by 5–6 staff members standing very close to me. Two girls were holding sections of my hair on either side, one was ironing my hair, and I wasn’t even sure what the others were doing behind me. Everyone was talking loudly over the already deafening music, creating a chaotic and stressful environment. The most disturbing part was how roughly my hair was handled. The girl ironing my hair was pulling it so hard that I was in significant pain. My head would naturally tilt toward the side from the force of the pulling, and one of the other staff members actually grabbed my chin and forced my head back into position. I felt extremely uncomfortable and helpless. When they asked whether it was hurting, I honestly said yes and told them I was worried my hair would come off because I could literally hear strands breaking. Instead of showing concern, I was told that they had to iron it that hard if I wanted it to stay straight for a day. At that point, I completely froze. I wanted to get up and leave, but I felt trapped in the situation. The entire experience was physically and mentally exhausting. I left with a headache that lasted for two days due to the constant pulling and the deafening noise. To make matters worse, shortly after leaving the salon, I noticed a live louse on my dress, which left me extremely concerned about the salon’s hygiene standards. There was no professionalism, no concern for customer comfort, and no respect for personal space. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this salon to anyone. A beauty service should never leave a customer feeling trapped, uncomfortable, in pain, and worried about cleanliness.
