I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Dhara Ayurvedic Spa where i got the Ayurvdic spa massage. Nadi was exceptional—warm, kind, highly skilled, and made me feel completely at ease throughout the massage. Her technique was just perfect, and I walked out feeling deeply relaxed and refreshed. One of the highlights was the traditional wooden steam chamber. I wasn't expecting it, but it felt so natural and authentic, adding a unique touch to the entire experience. Would highly recommend. We had a wonderful experience at the Dhara Healing Ayurveda Treatment Center in Nuwara Eliya, where we booked as a family an Ayurvedic massage together. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt very welcoming and trustworthy. The massage itself was excellent—gentle, professional, and deeply relaxing. One of the highlights was the unique herbal steam bath, where your body rests comfortably inside a wooden chamber while your head remains outside. Despite how it might sound at first, it is very comfortable and spacious, even for those who may feel a bit claustrophobic. The warmth and steam are incredibly soothing. The entire experience was enhanced by calming music, pleasant aromas, and attentive service. Another great touch was the convenient pickup from our hotel. Overall, this was a truly relaxing and well-organized experience. We can highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Ayurvedic treatments in a peaceful setting.

My visit to Dhara Healing Ayurveda Treatment Center was absolutely amazing! From the moment I entered, I felt calm and welcomed by the soothing music and relaxing scent. Tiran, my massage therapist, was incredibly friendly and professional. His technique was perfect — he paid attention to every detail and made sure I was comfortable throughout the session. The massage left me feeling relaxed, refreshed, and completely renewed. I highly recommend Dhara Healing Ayurveda Treatment Center and especially Tiran for anyone who wants a truly rejuvenating experience!

The therapist I had was good and professional. Nevertheless the whole experience was unpleasant. First of all the hygiene was questionable. The massage bed was covered only with small paper towel, so my feet and hands were touching directly the bed surface (!). The next problem - It was super cold. There was a small poor air heater, but it was still too cold for a massage. I felt totally uncomfortable.

Very relaxing and aromatic Ayurvedic treatment in Nuwariya Eliya. The massage therapist N’Dee (?) had good pressure and was very professional. The steam bath was a new experience, it got pretty hot but she turned it down on request. Reading the other reviews I think some travellers expect a different service. This is mid-range and value for money. If you don’t feel comfortable taking your clothes off in front of the massage therapists, being naked, and being massaged close to genitals and chest (not touching of course!) this isn’t the place for you. Having done similar treatments in India and Nepal I can confirm this is the way things are done. If you want a Western experience you can go to one of the many hotels in the area, you will pay four or five times the price. Some previous reviews quoted poor hygiene, I did not find this an issue at Dhara. I think some people just need to manage their expectations. 8000 rupees is great for a treatment lasting over an hour, enjoy the experience!
