DO NOT GO. Absolutely awful experience. I showed Lawrie a clear reference picture and repeatedly explained that I wanted to keep the length of my hair because it had taken a long time to grow. He completely ignored what I asked for and kept cutting more and more off despite me clearly saying not to. What makes it worse is how confident he was afterwards, acting like it looked amazing when it looks NOTHING like the picture I showed him. Instead of listening to what I wanted, he just did whatever he personally wanted to do. My hair is now way too short, thin, and honestly ruined. A hairdresser’s job is to listen to their client, not their own ego. I left feeling upset, ignored, and frustrated. I genuinely regret trusting him with my hair and would never recommend him to anyone who actually cares about keeping their length or being listened to. I wish I give 0 stars.

AVOID! One of the worst salon experiences I’ve ever had. I specifically asked Laurie for light layers and repeatedly said not to make my hair shorter. Instead, he completely ignored what I asked for and gave me an awful haircut that left my hair far shorter than I wanted, with uneven, choppy layers. I left the salon in tears. What made it even worse was Laurie’s attitude. He was rude and acted as though he knew exactly what he was doing, despite the result being nothing like what I had requested. When he saw how upset I was, instead of acknowledging the problem, he offered to blow-dry my hair as if that would somehow fix a bad haircut. It didn’t. The issue wasn’t the styling, it was the cut itself. The same thing happened to my sister on the same day. We both went in with long, healthy hair and left extremely upset with the results. I was also shocked that heat was used on my hair without any heat protection, and when I asked about it, the staff didn’t seem to know what I meant. If you’re reading this review, it’s a SIGN please do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. I would not recommend this salon to anyone and give zero stars if that was an option.

Excellent service. Got a dressing done and it was simply 💯 perfect and beyond great. Nirosha - Dresser did a fantastic job. The hair do , saree drape , make up was excellent. Highly recommended when someone needs to get a dressing. Keep it up.

I went to Chopping Block for my pre-wedding clean up and had an amazing experience. Nirosha, recommended by my mother-in-law, Nilanthi, did a fantastic job and made me feel completely ready for the big day. She was professional, detailed, and so easy to work with. My family loved the results so much that several of them went to her afterward as well! Thank you Nirosha. Highly recommend!

Got eyebrows done today by seemingly a new face in the salon. Unfortunately not sure of the name. The outcome wasn’t terrible but neither was it great and the procedure was painful. She kept breaking the thread, was a little aggressive with telling me how to stay for the procedure and her fingers kept knocking my eyeball. I was tearing quite a lot. I usually come here for this service and there are some who are actually very good. But this time was a bad experience.
