The Rush hair

I have been a client of this salon for some years and have always trusted the chief stylist with my hair, both when I lived in Sri Lanka and during my vacations in Colombo. On my recent visit (24/02/2026), I came for a haircut knowing the price of the hair cut ( LKR 10,000) and requested some highlights to brighten my face while covering my grey hair. Unfortunately, the cost of the highlights was never discussed with me beforehand, and I also did not think to ask, assuming transparency as a regular client. After nearly 5 hours, I was presented with a bill of LKR 61,000, which was extremely shocking and unexpected. I was never informed about the pricing prior to the service. Only after I expressed my surprise was the amount reduced to LKR 50,000. In addition, the final result did not meet my expectations. The haircut was quite basic, my hair felt dry after the coloring, and even blow-dry was not done by him at the end of the service. I believe clear communication about pricing before beginning any service is essential, especially for long-standing clients. Transparency would have avoided this uncomfortable experience. The photos were taken yesterday exactly after 9 days (14/03/2026). Sachin is very kind and friendly hairstyles, but i am utterly disappointed with my experience this time. My hair was dry as i have been using colors for 20 year which clearly informed them to be careful and its worse now (texture is like coconut husks now when i wash my hair). Additionally, I have two more photos taken 20 days (24/03/2026) later that clearly shows the extent of the damage, moreover my hair is breaking severely due to extreme dryness even though i use a good conditioner, I am sharing this feedback in the hope that the salon improves communication and customer care in the future. It is important to be cautious and recognize that not all hair types are virgin or react the same way to treatments.

I recently did their anti-frizz treatment and I am so in love with how my hair is right now! This is one of the best investments you can make if you’re having a frizzy hair. Very disappointing experience. I visited Rush Salon on 19/04/26 for grey hair coverage and a trim, and left extremely dissatisfied. Despite having an appointment, the service started at 2:30 PM and went on until nearly 11 PM by far the longest I’ve ever spent at a salon for a hair colouring session. The entire process felt unnecessarily prolonged and exhausting. My main requirement was simple: to cover the grey hair at the crown area. I was advised that this could be achieved using a similar fashion colour along with balayage, as I already had balayage on the lower part of my hair. However, after returning home and properly checking, I found that the grey hairs were not covered at all. This was one of the most tiring and unsatisfactory salon experiences I’ve had. I expected professional results given the time spent, but unfortunately, the outcome did not meet even the basic requirement I requested. Two months down the line, I remain blown away by my hair transformation. I have no words 🙌🏽 ❤️ I went in for the anti frizz treatment and hair color and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve been doing keratin treatments for my hair for years now, but something that irks me is how my hair looks immediately after and I look like a wet dog for a good month or so, with pathetically flattened hair. So imagine my joy when I found out that The Rush Hair had a solution that gave me the goodness of keratin but without the unnecessary flattening? And mind you, The Rush Hair is the ONLY place in Sri Lanka where they have this treatment! The Rush Hair team is absolutely amazing! When Sachin took over, I knew without a doubt that I was on great hands. He explained every thing in great detail and gave me creative solutions for everything I came up with. Very happy with the consultation. And the wisest thing I did? Let him choose the hair color for me (they use no-bleach hair color by the way, which is the healthier option) and let him decide my haircut! My hair never looked better and I have him to thank for that. The warmest welcome, the friendliest service and great vibes all around! The aftercare was absolutely superb as well, where I went in for the wash and everything’s as explained to me in detail on how to take care of my hair and even what products to use. I’m absolutely in love! Please do yourselves a favor and check this place out for your next hair makeover. And thank me later.

I had an amazing experience with Mahesh! He did an excellent job with my haircut — I’m 100% satisfied with the result. What really stood out was how he took the time to explain how to properly maintain my hair and keep it looking fresh even after leaving the shop.
